IM Jeremy Silman was an international master and renowned chess author, who contributed articles to Chess.com from 2009 to 2020. His lessons are also available on the site.
Silman's best-known books are How to Reassess Your Chess (four editions) and Silman's Complete Endgame Course. Both books made Chess.com's list of top 10 chess books.
As a player, Silman achieved his IM title in 1988. He finished in shared first place at the 1981 U.S. Open. Silman passed away in 2023.
